Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service govern your use of the mobile application "떠나 (Tteona)" (the "App") operated by AERON (the "Service Provider").

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the App, you automatically agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before use.

3. Service Description

"Tteona" is an iOS app that helps you plan and execute group travel courses, automatically generates vlogs from videos captured during the trip (with background music and multiple output formats such as Reels, YouTube, and Instagram), lets members share real-time location, chat, and a feed while travelling together, and lets you explore public courses created by other users as well as official curated courses provided by the Service Provider. Vlog editing and composition may be processed on the Service Provider's servers.

4. Account & Eligibility

• You must be at least 14 years old to register.
• Accounts may be created via email, Google, Apple, or Kakao.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use another person's account or provide false information during registration.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or modify the App's source code without authorization.
• Disrupt the normal operation of the Service.
• Infringe on others' personal information or upload illegal content.
• Post profanity, hate speech, obscene material, spam, or defamatory content via chat, feed, comments, or courses.
• Record or upload videos/photos that infringe others' rights, including copyright and likeness rights.
• Access the App from a jailbroken device (the Service Provider is not responsible for malfunctions caused by such use).

6. Content & Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App — including design, logos, source code, and trademarks — belong to the Service Provider. Content uploaded by users (videos, photos, text) remains the property of the respective user; the Service Provider may use such content solely for operating and improving the Service.

• You may freely save, share, and publish your generated vlogs, including on your personal social media.
• Elements provided by the Service — such as background music (BGM), logos, and title designs inserted into vlogs — are owned by the Service Provider or its licensors and may be used only as embedded in the vlog. Extracting, redistributing, or selling the audio tracks themselves is prohibited.
• You warrant that content you record and upload does not infringe any third-party rights (copyright, likeness, etc.); you are solely responsible for disputes arising from such infringement.

7. Courses, Groups, Chat & Data Visibility

• Travel courses you create and save are publicly visible to all users within the App and may be browsed and used by others. Do not include personal information in course content you do not wish to share publicly.
• Groups (rooms) are joined via a 6-character invite code. You are responsible for managing who you share the invite code with.
• By joining a group, your real-time location is shared with members of that room, and your chat messages are visible to all room members.
• If you encounter content that violates these Terms in chat or the feed, you may report it via the in-app report feature or our contact channel; the Service Provider may remove content and restrict accounts after review.
• If you leave a group or delete your account while you are the last remaining member, all data in that group — including feed posts, comments, chat messages, and shared courses — will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

8. Location-Based Services

The App's location-based services (arrival detection, real-time location sharing among group members, route calculation, nearby place information) are provided in compliance with the Korean Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information.

• Location-based services are provided free of charge.
• Personal location information is used only within the scope you consent to and is not provided to third parties other than members of your group (room). Where third-party provision is required, you will be notified and asked for consent each time as required by law.
• You may withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings; doing so will limit location-based features.
• Records confirming the collection, use, and provision of personal location information are retained in accordance with applicable law.
• In case of infringement of your rights regarding location information, you may apply for dispute mediation with the Korea Communications Commission or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee.

9. Paid Services & Subscriptions (tteona PRO)

The App's core features (course discovery, trip sessions, basic vlog generation) are free. Certain premium features (watermark removal, multi-format vlogs, BGM selection, extended vlogs, priority processing, etc.) are offered through the paid subscription "tteona PRO".

• Billing: Subscription fees are charged to your Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account. The Service Provider does not directly collect payment-method details such as card numbers, and uses RevenueCat to verify and manage subscription status.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings (iOS: Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions). Benefits remain active until the end of the already-paid period.
• Free trial: If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription automatically unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Refunds: Withdrawal and refunds for in-app subscriptions follow the refund policies and procedures of the respective app marketplace (Apple/Google). Your statutory rights are not affected.
• Price changes: Price changes will be announced in advance; if you do not agree, your subscription will not renew at the new price.
• If your subscription status is not reflected in the App, use the in-app "Restore Purchases" feature.

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Authentication, Database, Push Notifications)
• Google (Sign-In, Maps, Place Details)
• Apple (Sign-In, Place Search)
• Kakao (Sign-In, Place Search)
• Kakao Mobility (Route Calculation)
• Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI (Tourist-Site Photos & Details, Travel Course Data)
• OpenWeatherMap (Weather Information)
• RevenueCat (Subscription Management & Receipt Validation)

11. Public Data Use & Attribution

The App's official curated courses are based on travel course data published by the Korea Tourism Organization through Korea's public data portal. The source is credited on the detail screen of each such course.

• Source: Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI (Public Data Portal, data.go.kr)
• The Service Provider does not alter or redistribute the original data, and uses it solely to display information to users. Course and place names may be reformatted, and duplicate entries removed, for presentation purposes.
• Accuracy and timeliness of public data depend on the providing agency; listings may differ from reality due to closures, temporary suspensions, or other changes.

12. Disclaimer

The Service Provider strives to maintain reliable operation but is not liable for service interruptions caused by network failures, third-party service errors, or force majeure events.

13. Service Modifications & Termination

The Service Provider may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, based on operational needs. Material changes will be announced in advance through the App or website.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes arising from your use of the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of Korea.

15. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
